Thea G. Crockett
Thea has been teaching secondary Math in the US for ten years now. She started in 2005 as a SPED resource Math teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona after three years and worked as a high school Math teacher. These years of experience honed her competence in teaching students with and without learning difficulties in Math.
Thea completed Bachelor of Chemical Engineering in Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines. She worked in this field for five years before taking a post baccalaureate degree in teaching Special Education. Once settled in the US, she took up Masters in Technology in Curriculum and Instructions in Grand Canyon University, for which she is in the internship part. After this Masters degree, she hopes to continue her trainings on programming and coding Math educational games.
She is happily married to Chris Crockett and this year is their 10th anniversary. They are among the lucky ones whose union started online and continue to get stronger through the test of time. They both work for the same school district, and although they don’t have kids of their own, they found theirs in the classroom.
